W Bro Richard James Richardson was born on 23 January 1922 in Doncaster. At that time, the nation was still rebuilding its strength after the carnage of the First World War and the principles of commitment to one’s family, friends and colleagues which were very much to the fore, created an environment which shaped the attitude of many young men. Members and guests of Bredenstone Lodge No 8093, meeting at St Margaret’s-At-Cliffe, turned out in force on the 28th June 2016 to celebrate the lodge’s 50th anniversary.
The lodge celebrated this momentous occasion by holding a ‘white table’ meeting, led by its Master Bill Harrison, which involved quickly dealing with the lodge business before admitting the non-masonic guests. Everyone was then treated to a brief history of the lodge by Past Master Lew Finnis.

Members of Vale Lodge No 5256 held a very successful evening at the Longlands Hotel, Tewitfield, near Carnforth to celebrate and honour ‘The Ladies’.
