On 21st June the peace and quiet of Trafalgar Lawn, the home of the Masonic Centre in Barnstaple, was shattered by the arrival of sixteen large powerful motorcycles! The need for this further essay was first made apparent to me when—in my capacity as Secretary of the Lodge and Editor of the Transactions—I began to receive inquiries from Brethren as far away as Vancouver and Singapore, asking for materials and information which might help them to complete their own papers on Kipling, and I found, to my surprise, that while our library contains a great deal of relevant material, there has never been a paper on Kipling in our Transactions.

Worcestershire Masonic Library & Museum staging a unique Exhibition at The Guildhall in Worcester

The Worcestershire Masonic Library and Museum will be staging a unique Exhibition at The Guildhall in Worcester between the 23rd of July and the 5th August 2017, as part of the celebrations of 300 years of Freemasonry.

This Exhibition, which will be the largest ever staged by the Library and Museum, will also, celebrate the 130th year since the original Exhibition at the Guildhall in 1887, held by George Taylor, the originator of the Library and Museum, and after who the George Taylor Lodge is named.

At his Installation on October 19th 2015 WBro John Young PPGReg, WM explained that during his year as Master he wanted raise funds for Derby Mountain Rescue Team and Guide Dogs (Derby) being involved with both charities as John and his wife Janet were both Puppy Walkers for Guide Dogs for five years and John is a member of the Derby Mountain Rescue Team’s Supporters Group and their youngest son, Mark is a Section Leader within the Team
