The sesquicentenary celebrations of Globe Chapter, No. 23, have taken place at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street. The chapter started life in 1865 as Panmure Chapter, No. 720, but in 1914 was unusually allowed to change to its current name and number.
At the Installation Meeting of the Leicestershire and Rutland Lodge of Installed Masters No. 7896 on the 8th April 2016 the members and visitors were treated to an informative lecture on Freemasonry and Sport by W Bro Rex Hazeldine of the Lodge of Science and Art No. 8429
East Kent was delighted to receive Shawn Christie, Assistant Grand Secretary, on 9th June, when he was invited by the Provincial Grand Master to talk to members of the Provincial Executive and the Group Chairmen
Chief celebs were the Provincial Grand Master Tony Harrison and his wife Maureen, Assistant Provincial Grand Master David Grainger, who carries the designation of Patron of the Fellowship due to his office, was also present with his wife Beryl. In his new position as group chairman Peter Schofield holds the office of President of the Fellowship and he along with his wife Michelle was welcomed to his first meeting in that role.

This was our first visit to this event, so we had no expectations, but a good deal of curiosity.
The venue in Manor Park, which adjoins the river, was well organised and we saw some familiar faces amongst other stall holders.
WBro Paul Barrass, first WM of Musket, Pike and Drum Lodge № 9906 will present a talk entitled “Remember the Alamo” at Grange Lodge № 9639 on Tuesday 12th July 2016 commencing at 11.00 am. This event will allow WBro Paul to introduce the presentation to be given to UGLE’s Tercentenary Meeting next year
