Freemasons 300-mile cycle journey raises £21k for Charity

Leicestershire and Rutland Freemasons have completed a four-day cycle ride visiting all the masonic centres in the province, including Melton, before continuing to Freemasons’ Hall in London and back again.

The 300-mile trip not only marked the 300th anniversary of Freemasonry but raised £21,000 to be split equally between the Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough and the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

Yorkshire Freemasons Tercentenary event to be held at Ripon Cathedral

The Dean of Ripon the Very Reverend John Dobson, who will preach the Sermon, will lead the Service, being held on Sunday 24 September at 3.30 pm. The Cathedral Choir will contribute to the service and sing Sir Hubert Parry’s great Coronation anthem ‘I was Glad’, also a setting of the Te Deum by Ronald Perrin a former Organist and Master of Choristers at the Cathedral.

Essex Freemasons cycling 880 miles for Charity

Four member of Essex Freemasons, named collectively as Team Jogle, are taking on the 880 mile trek from John o’ Groats to Lands’ End.

Geoff Turpin, of Blackmore End, Adrian Deadman, of Colchester, Daniel Rosewell, of Southend, and Trevor Back, of Great Bentley, are all taking on the challenge in aid of the Freemasons’ Masonic Charitable Foundation.

Freemasons donate £10,000 to Norfolk Carers Support charity

Dozens of children who care for sick and disabled family members are to receive a boost from a £10,000 grant.

The large donation to the Norfolk Carers Support charity was provided by the Norfolk Freemasons which came through The Masonic Charitable Foundation – funded by Freemasons from across England and Wales.

It will allow Norfolk Carers Support to continue with its young carers project.

Recently members of the Surrey Masonic Charity Team led by Nick Parsons were delighted to visit Home-Start Sutton to present a certificate reflecting the £5,000 Grant received from the Masonic Charitable Foundation to enable the continued provision of volunteer home support and family support groups to vulnerable families with a child under 5 years old.
