The Next Step in Freemasonry

On Friday 22nd of April, a number of Brethren from Masonic Centres in and near Colchester Masonic Centres, edged closer to their next important step into the Holy Royal Arch.

Close to twenty brethren, who wanted to learn more about this beautiful order, joined Clive Rees, the Second Provincial Grand Principal together with Nick Franklin, the Third Provincial Grand Principal and Assistants to the Provincial Grand Principals; David Branch and Charles Ager. Geoff Turpin, the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies was also in attendance. They were supported by an array of Provincial Grand Stewards for a relaxed and informative evening of wine, nibbles and a discussion about the Royal Arch.

E.Comp Clive Rees gave the audience a brief history of the Royal Arch within Freemasonry and its deep-rooted connection with the Craft. He then discussed the many advantages of joining this wonderful order as well as the
considerations to be taken into account before joining. This was followed by an engaging question and answer session. After complimentary drinks and a buffet, the evening drew to a close with every Brother present expressing their interest in joining the order and taking their next important step in their Masonic career. If you’d like to join this wonderful order, simply email: [email protected]
