Lodge Amity and Rossendale Forest No. 283 celebrate 225 years
Peter Blackhurst, Master of Charity Centenary Lodge, No. 3786, which meets at Farnworth, East Lancashire, has been presented with an award from the NHS Blood and Transplant service for donating 100 pints of blood. He was one of 30 individuals honoured in a ceremony at Gorton Monastery for donors in the Manchester area who had reached such a milestone.
In Whalley on the day after Boxing Day it was obvious that both residents and rescue volunteers needed to have basic refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits in the aftermath of the dreadful floods. Abbey Lodge

To help celebrate the official 90th Birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, Rochdale Masonic Social Committee (RMSC) organised an Indoor Street Party at Rochdale Masonic Buildings on the 11th June 2016. The Buildings were splendidly decorated with bunting & Union Jack regalia and over one hundred guests attended all of whom were ‘royally’ entertained by the 30 strong Greater Manchester Police Concert Band.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at St James Church Cobham Road Accrington, where they have free use of the meeting room at the rear of the church. The theme for this meeting was the Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations, where all the guests received a replica of the meal presented to guests at the party held on the Mall in London.
Recently the East Ribble District Charity Steward WBro Mike Stubbs along with his Assistant WBro Ian Johnson were delighted to present Denise Gee and some of East Lancashire Hospice staff with a cheque for £350 for the restocking of the patients Drinks Trolley.
