At a school-wide assembly held on June 8, twenty-one Hudson Park Elementary students received Kindles donated by the Rainier Masonic Lodge. This is the second year students at Hudson Park have participated in the Kindles for Books Program
SIDMOUTH’S Freemasons Lodge of Perseverance have made three charitable donations to local organisations, totalling in excess of £2,000.
At a special meeting on Tuesday, June 7th the lodge donated £1,000 to the Sidmouth Town Band to hep their appeal to acquire a new headquarters building, as they have outgrown their current one
On a hot summers evening brethren from the newly amalgamated Ormskirk and Bootle Group, accompanied with their wives and many guests attended the FROTH Gala Cabaret Dinner and Dance, which Bootle Group has been running annually for the last 20 years. This year the event was held at the magnificent surroundings of the West Lancashire Golf Club.
Samuel Newman’s Society of the Cincinnati Certificate
Among the many treasures in the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library’s collection is this Society of the Cincinnati certificate, issued to Samuel Newman. It is dated May 5, 1784 and is signed by both George Washington (1732-1799) in his capacity as President of the Society of the Cincinnati and by Henry Knox (1750-1806) in his capacity as Secretary.

Brethren from both sides of the County line assembled at Millom Masonic Hall when Furness RAM Lodge, No. 375 visited Duddon Lodge of RAM, No. 1481 to witness the Installation of Bro Keith Templeton as WCN for the ensuing year. Bro Templeton was installed by outgoing Commander, W.Bro Peter Storey.
In honour of the Queen’s 90th Birthday, Bolton District Freemasons paraded to the local parish church to receive a service after enjoying a wonderful Sunday Lunch at Bolton Masonic Hall.
It was a particularly sad morning yesterday, when a small party of senior Brethren from St Patrick’s Lodge No 195, Arthur Square arrived at the Museum in Rosemary Street to deposit Minute Books, Attendance Books and other euphrema from the Lodge, after returning their Warrant to the Assistant Provincial Grand Lodge Secretary
