West Yorkshire Freemasons Donate More Than £36,000 To 20 Regional organisations
A CHILDREN’S centre which provides care for young people with disabilities has received a £25,000 donation.
The Serennu children’s centre, in the Rogerstone area of Newport, has received the donation from The Masonic Province of Monmouthshire.
Freemasons from Birchington’s Minnis Bay Lodge No 8496 recently raised a substantial donation for Lupus UK, a registered national charity.
The funding will provide London Fire Brigade with two extended height aerial vehicles. These appliances will be in addition to the extra resources for extended height aerial vehicles already requested by the Commissioner as part of a Mayoral review into the Brigade’s resources in July.

The Bandstand area is packed with families on a Sunday enjoying these bands. ‘The Friends’ have to finance a lot of the costs themselves and are always looking for donations. Geoff Lloyd the Area 1 Almoner was approached by Dave Brand from St Hilary Lodge who wondered if Cheshire Masons could help at all. Geoff spoke to his colleagues on the Area 1 committee and a donation of £200 was authorised, which Geoff and Dave duly presented at Vale Park.

The combined efforts of Belper based Freemasons ‘Bradelei Lodge’ and the ‘Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire’ have resulted in a sizeable donation to Derwent Brass.
At a recent East Ribble District Charity Stewards meeting WBro Derek Harwood from Keep Masonic Lodge Clitheroe proposed that the charity would benefit from the Districts support.
The charity was recognised for their vital work in the community. A donation of £250 was donated to their cause.
