The Cadets need for funding came about after the East Devon District Council terminated the lease of their old building and, due to its very dilapidated state and lack of amenities, this had also restricted the number of cadets able to use the building.

Derbyshire Freemasons donate £2000 to Drum Hill Scout Camp

Photo of the Master of Pioneer Lodge, W Bro. Andy Brown, accompanied by the Charity Steward, W Bro. Don Newing, and W Bro. Tony Harvey, presented the County Commissioner for Derbyshire, James Stafford, accompanied by the centre’s project manager, Tom Stoddart, with the cheque for £2,000.

When Pioneer Lodge learned that Derbyshire Scouts needed a new activity and accommodation centre at the county camp site, Drum Hill, members wanted to support the venture. Not only had some of them been volunteers at the site over the years, and some had actually helped build the previous centre, Birch Hall, but Pioneer Lodge itself has had a long attachment to Drum Hill.

On Wednesday 26th July Cheshire Freemasons were invited to the opening of a fully refurbished bathroom and Wet room at Claire House Children’s Hospice at Clatterbridge on the Wirral. The Red Ribbon was cut by Colin Ross the Provincial Grand Charity Steward who was accompanied by Assistant Provincial Grand Masters for Areas 1 and 2

The Almoners Page and 3 others shared Blackmore Vale Lodge, Sturminster Newton hosted the Dorset Masonic Knowledge Quiz Final and retained the Barnes Trophy for the fourth year running.

It was also an opportunity for Masonic generosity, pictured above are some of the Yeovil Heartbeat Staff who are responsible for Cardiac Rehabilitation at Yeovil Hospital receiving a cheque for £266 from the evenings main draw.Dorset Freemasonry’s photo.

Cornwall Freemasons donate to Memory Café

EACH year the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Cornwall asks each of it’s 32-member lodges to submit grant applications for nominated local worthy causes.

The members of Sir Bevil Granville Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1231, which meets in Bude, nominated Bude Memory Café and were delighted that a grant of £250 was awarded.
