Driving through standing water on the A49 approaching Ombersley Golf Club on Thursday many would have thought about heading home rather than playing Golf.
However with the course draining rapidly and a dry warm spell during the afternoon all completed the front nine and some even the full eighteen holes.
A late heavy storm around 4pm caused a lot of players to call a halt to their round so the competition was restricted to the front none holes.
The Winners were:
Worcestershire Mark Champion John Icke on 35 points (21 points on the front nine).
Runner Up: Paul Battle on 33 points (18 on the front nine).
Best Guest Keith Bint 23 points.
Runner up Richard Gage 19 Points.
