West Lothian Foodbank receive kind donation from Freemasons

Generous members of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Linlithgowshire have donated over £500 to the West Lothian Foodbank.

And the men have also been helping to support people in their community.

Jim Ellis, provincial grand master, explained: “It is most heartening and encouraging to read about the wonderful support which is being given by Freemasons and lodges within this province, and, indeed other provinces, during this difficult period of national crisis.

“This support has taken many different forms such as making contact through phone calls and FaceTime etc, shopping for and delivering groceries, donating sums of money and purchasing and donating goods on a wider scale.

“In addition to the excellent efforts of the lodges within the province of Linlithgowshire, Provincial Grand Lodge purchased and delivered items of essential supplies to the value of over £500 to the West Lothian Foodbank on behalf of the province.

“The West Lothian Foodbank expressed absolute delight with the PGL of Linlithgowshire for this generous donation and stated that it would make a huge difference to the families who are using the foodbank, the numbers of which are increasing on a daily basis.

“Grateful thanks is extended to the staff of the Livingston Lidl store for their very helpful assistance in purchasing the items.”
