The Richard Sandbach Lodge of Research

On Monday October 23rd, WBro Jonathon Hibbins was Installed as Worshipful Master of The Richard Sandbach Lodge of Research. In keeping with the tradition of The Lodge, it was then time for the new Master to deliver his Installation Lecture – ‘Was Sir Christopher Wren a Freemason’, a topic WBro Hibbins had obviously researched extensively and spoke of with great enthusiasm.

The Lodge of Research, which was founded in tribute to RWBro Richard Sandbach, himself a dedicated and well respected Masonic Historian, Writer and Orator, aims specifically to deliver Orations, Presentations and Displays to Brethren at their meetings, which can be held at centres around the Province as well its home in Peterborough.

Their next meeting will be the 3rd Monday in January, when Dickon Sandbach and his able team will be performing a demonstration and explanation of salient parts of the First Degree ceremony at Corby for the Joint Corby LOIs.

The annual Richard Sandbach Lecture will be held on the 3rd Monday in March. On this occasion VWBro Wayne Williams will present his talk “From Darkness into Light – a personal journey” in Peterborough.

There will be a more detailed article about The Lodge in the Spring 2018 edition of Password.
