Special Family Installation

On 3rd March 2016 at Arkscroll Lodge No 6594, Bro Oliver Basger was Installed as the Worshipful Master. Taking the ceremony on this occasion was his father, WBro David Basger, Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies and an Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.

After the Lodge was opened and the usual formalities completed, WBro Chris Welton, Past Junior Grand Deacon, APGM, was welcomed into the Lodge as the Guest of Honour, together with a large number of Grand Officers of both United Grand Lodge and Supreme Grand Chapter. WBro Welton brought greetings and very best wishes from the RW PGM, Sir David Trippier, and introduced those attending with him. These included RWBro Stephen Blank PGM (Cheshire); WBro Paul Rose PSGD and Deputy Grand Superintendent; WBro David Thompson PJGD and Second Provincial Grand Principal; WBro Donald Pryce PAGChap and Third Provincial Grand Principal; Assistants to the Provincial Grand Principals, WBro Len Hayes PAGDC and WBro Paul Aspinall PAGDC; and WBro Peter Faulkner PAGDC; WBro Leslie Berkeley JP, PAGDC; WBro Henry Bentwood PAGDC and WBro David Dunn PAGDC.

Completing the family atmosphere were the newly installed WM’s uncles, WBro Harvey Basger PAGDC, WBro Jonathan Basger PProvGStwd (the Lodge DC), WBro Bradley Holt PProvDepGDC (the Lodge Organist) and WBro Steven Holt, a Past Master of Menorah Lodge. Also supporting the WM was Bro Paul Basger, the WM of Zion Menorah Lodge.

The Brethren enjoyed an exceptional ceremony carried out with much aplomb and no shortage of emotion by WBro David Basger.

The Brethren all made their way into an excellent Social Board with plenty of atmosphere, good food and drinks.
