Masonic Lodge # 403 Honors Teachers and Student

Centralhatchee Masonic Lodge #403 presented Centralhatchee Elementary’s Teacher of the Year Amanda Stephens, Support Teacher of the Year  Liz Mitchell, and Outstanding Student of the Year Hannah Estoll with gifts of appreciation.

Centralhatchee Lodge # 403 takes a very active roll in the community in which it lives.

The Lodge assists Centralhatchee Elementary School, Centralhatchee First Baptist Church as well as other local organizations that promote the health, education and well-being of the children and a strong local community.

Centralhatchee Lodge works under the Grand Lodge of Georgia and is one of the oldest fraternities.

Freemasonry was established in 1733 in Georgia and there are approximately 451 Lodges in Georgia.

When a Masonic Lodge is established, a charter is issued by the Grand Lodge, as long as the Lodge is active then the Charter is on display in the Lodge.

Centralhatchee Lodge was chartered in 1895 and has been active since it was chartered. There were once five or six lodges in Heard County, but only three are still in existence today.

Centralhatchee Lodge # 403, Chattahoochee Lodge # 61 in Franklin and Loftin Lodge # 688 in Ephesus.
