In January the Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh donated £1,000 to the Leith Foodbank.
The foodbank provides a minimum of three days emergency food and support to local people in crisis.
The foodbank receives non-perishable, in-date food donations from schools, churches, businesses and individuals. All food given out by foodbanks is donated. The PGLE donation will be used to further support the purchase of essential items to be included in the foodboxes.
The Provincial Grand Master presents the £1,000 cheque to Rev Iain May, Minister of South Leith Parish Church.
