Freemasons donate £15,500 to Charities in Cheshire

At the recent Samaritan Installation held on January 31st, the outgoing Master, WBro Geoff Newsome, distributed cheques to various charities to the tune of £15,500.

This was the amount of money that Geoff had raised in his year as Master.

The main benefactors were Springfield’s Special School in Crewe, awarded £5,000. This cause is very close to WBro Geoff and his wife Marie’s heart.

Other Charities to benefit were: –

  • Sandbach Talking Newspapers
  • St Luke’s Hospice Sandbach Scouts
  • Masonic Widows
    and many more local charities.

In addition, Teddies for loving Care (TLC), received a cheque for £1,000, presented by WBro Geoff Newsome to WBro Ron Evans, TLC Provincial Officer, and the Area 3 TLC officer WBro Jonathan Sacha.

Many people have benefited through Geoff and Marie’s hard work, and WBro Ron Evans would like to personally thank on behalf of Cheshire Masons.
