Clive Dunnico’s Running Trilogy in aid of London Air Ambulance.

This year, at the age of 74 years, W. Bro Clive Dunnico, PJGD, a Past Master of Jubilee Masters Lodge No. 2712, New Welcome Lodge No. 5139 and Old Brentwoods Lodge No. 5342 is raising money for London Air Ambulance by running in three races – “A Trilogy”. The Vitality London 10000 metres completed on 30 May; the Southend-on-Sea Half Marathon to be run on 12th June and the Morrison Great Newham London 10K Run to be run on 17th July and which finishes in the Olympic Stadium.

Trauma patients can suffer injuries, which must be corrected quickly in order to prevent death or life-long disability. The LAA team works alongside the London Ambulance Service to provide rapid, effective treatment as soon as possible after injury. The LAA advanced trauma doctor and paramedic can perform procedures to relieve pain, straighten broken limbs, perform open chest surgery to restart the heart, give blood and deliver emergency anaesthesia at the roadside within minutes of injury.
