In October 2016, Vic Charlesworth, Curator of the Warrington Masonic Museum, became aware of the existence of a Mason’s grave in the cemetery at St Thomas Church, Stockton Heath, Warrington. As part of the Warrington Museum of Freemasonry celebrations for the tercentenary of the Grand Lodge of England (1717-2017), our thoughts have turned to the Freemasons in Warrington who lost their lives during the First World War (1914-1918).
Martin Smith a past master and director of ceremonies, arranged for a note to be placed in the daily on-board newspaper, which called for any Masonic brethren who would like to meet for an unofficial gathering in the Uganda room.
