Freemasons from West Wales will be hosting their own teddy bears’ picnic as part of celebrations to mark 300 years of Freemasonry while raising awareness of the excellent work of one of its most important Masonic charitable initiatives, the Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Appeal.
On Saturday 5th August, Carl Fryer (Seacombe Lodge), and Wayne Dwyer (Thermopylae Lodge) were pleased to present three Heavy Duty ‘Pop Up’ Gazebos to the Staff at Tam O’Shanters farm in Birkenhead, bought from some of the proceeds of the recently held joint Race Night.
£126.00 was raised for the TLC, by raffling a large bear, a sum of over £630.00 was raised for Local Charitable Causes, including Tam O’Shanters Urban Farm, who also supported the event
The Urban farm is run by the Tam O’Shanter Cottage Urban Farm Trust (Reg. Charity number 505444), made up of trustees from the Birkenhead History Society, the Wirral Urban Farm Association and local Councillors.
Thursday evening 15th December 2016, welcomed the start of Christmas for 80+ masons, family and friends.
