20% of every ticket sold to members of the masonic fraternity and their guests, including the booking fee, will be donated to the 2021 Festival funds. This means that the Festival will benefit by £2.64 for every ticket sold for the Ellington Showcase. For Jacqui Dankworth’s concert the return per ticket sold will be £3.08.
St Cecilia will soon commence rehearsals and intends to launch its first demonstration at its’ next meeting in November, as a taster ready for 2017.
Porthkerry Lodge have, for a second year running, helped to raise funds for a local group, Goshin and Kudo Academy.
They hosted a ‘cheap as chips’ night at the Barry Masonic Temple, where around 80 guests enjoyed a chip supper, had a flutter on a series of horse races and were royally entertained by local musician, and lodge member, Tony Hill and his band.
Brethren, the main purpose of our meeting today is to celebrate the end of our masonic year by honouring those whose contributions now – and in the future – have merited appointments or promotions in Provincial Grand Lodge
