During the summer recess, Phoenix Lodge No: 3236, held a ‘Dickensian Garden Party’ and raised over £500.00 which the Worshipful Master wished to put towards a local deserving cause.
The Master, W.Bro. Michael Ring learned that his local primary school were in desperate need for ‘Health & Safety’ type tabards for the children to wear when making visits outside of school. Enquiries were made and 90 child sized tabards and 6 adult sizes were sourced. The tabards were printed with the name of the school on the front and back at a total cost of £590.00.
On Wednesday 9th November 2016, W.Bro. Ring (W/M), W.Bro. Mal Cooke (Lodge Charity Rep.) and W.Bro. John Miller (Chairman Area 2), had the privilege of attending Overchurch Primary School’s assemble, and present the tabards.
