WBro Rivett asked the residents how they would like the money to be spent. It was decided to provide a circular seat around a cherry tree in the garden but unfortunately, due to other plans to redesign the external area, it was not possible to erect the seat until this year
On Sunday 9th July, Llantwit Major Lodge No. 9241 held a Summer Garden Party in aid of Velindre Cancer Center. The event took place at W.Bro Michael Thomas’s house and gardens in Rhoose and was well supported by family and friends of the lodge. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine with good food, drink and live musical entertainment that went on into the evening
Athelstan donates over £6,000 to local hospices
On December 1st 2016 W Bro David Evans completed his year as Worshipful Master of Athelstan Lodge. During his year, ably abetted by his wife Karen and with the support of the Brethren and their partners, he raised the magnificent sum of £6,241.00 for Charity.

Worshipful Master, David Evans and his wife Karen kindly hosted a Garden Party at their home on Sunday 3rd July 2016. A total of 81 Brethren, family and friends supported the event which meant, along with the Master’s personal guests, there was well over a hundred present.
