No fewer than 37 charities received grants totalling more than £25,000 from Shropshire’s Freemasons at a special awards day on Monday, 20th June. Representatives from most of the charities were on hand to receive grants at a special reception and buffet lunch.
Iron Bridge Ten-Pin Bowling Night
A great night of ten-pin bowling and more was organised by The Iron Bridge lodge 9897 on 19th June and attended by many members as well as friends from other lodges. Prizes were awarded for highest individual score, lowest individual score (Andy’s not telling), and best lodge score (Round Table.lodge 9104). We are asked to point out that 9104 is their lodge number, not their score..
A ‘bosting’ night in Cleobury Mortimer
The ritual was a little different from Cleobury’s normal fare, but the team was clearly spot-on with their choice of candidate: W Bro Kevin Gwilliam, the Lodge DC. Eagle-eyed brethren will also note ‘frowtsy gaffer’ W Bro John Williamson (DepGSupt) underneath a cloth cap!
