Ellesmere Golf Club, Worsley, which is a beautiful parkland course that measures 6287 yards and is a testing par 70 and has a clubhouse that was rebuilt in 1996 and has all the facilities required to accommodate golfers in comfort on completion of their rounds, was the venue for the annual Eccles and District Group golf competition.

Once a year the brethren of Nautilus Lodge in Sunderland celebrate the last meeting before the summer recess, with a Nautical Night. The evening is a celebration of all things Nautical and is also open to non-masons.
