The Provincial Grand Lodge of Northumberland was once again represented by Dave Watson, Andrew Smith, Richard Whiteley and two new kids on the block, Jeff Bulman and Clay Sloan. The object of the display stand as always was to enlighten the public about Freemasonry.

As usual the Northumberland County Show was held at Bywell on May Bank Holiday Monday. The weather was not brilliant but although chilly it stayed dry and the sun finally shone at 4o’clock. Fundraising for Shiremoor Masonic Hall

In an effort to raise some much-needed funds, it is our intention to host a model railway exhibition at our building over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of July. Visitors will be able to see a number of displays presented by Blyth and Tyne Model Railway Club, not least of which will be Thomas the Tank Engine! This promises to be a smashing day out for families and children of all ages and much has already been done to promote the event.
