Freemasons donate £2,500 to Cancer Research UK

On Monday 3rd December, Brethren from Broadsmith Lodge No 3593 accompanied by WBro Jeffrey Cunningham, PProvJGW, APGM Area One, dropped into the Cancer Research UK shop at Moreton to present a cheque in the sum of £2,500.

Freemasons donate to Men in Sheds (Age UK), Hartford, Northwich

Men in Sheds is a project run by Age UK Cheshire.  The sheds are places where men over the age of 50 can come together to learn and share their skills and make new friends.  They always guarantee a warm welcome and great banter within the shed community.  Activities include wood working and turning, pen making, bespoke commissions and community projects.

Derbyshire Freemasons donate £28,990 to Plot to Plate allotment project run by Disability Direct

The £28,990 grant to the Plot to Plate allotment project, run by Disability Direct, will pay for a new Project Co-Ordinator, who will work with volunteers to deliver the ‘Grow Your Own’ service to 350 local people. Alongside the wheelchair-accessible vegetable beds, there will be practical cooking classes, weekly gardening sessions and community open day events, all free of charge, with activities to support the environment such as making bug and bee hotels.
