The Witta’s Island Lodge was honoured by a surprise visit by the Provincial Grand Master and his Deputy on Friday 15th July! Once the Lodge was open, there was a report, which little did anyone know would result in W.Bro. Mike Murphy PrAGDC walking in with wand in hand to announce the visit, to everyone’s shock and delight!
The Worshipful Master W.Bro. David Hutton took it in his stride and optimistically offered the gavel to the PGM and invited him not only to take the chair, but to conduct the ceremony of raising!
The PGM declined the kind offer and was happy to sit back and enjoy a bumper meeting with 51 brethren in attendance. Bro. Paul Connor was the candidate for the evening and was finally raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason, having been initiated back in August 2014!
The visit enhanced what was a fun and enjoyable evening which ended with the traditional Witta’s Island choir singing the visitors song to the 29 visitors at the Festive Board!
