Social services grateful for Freemasons’ support

Stand Children’s Services in Half Moon Bay has hosted a morning tea to thank the Freemasons Foundation for a recent donation. 

Stand regional manager Pene Frost says she feels incredibly grateful to the Freemasons for the contribution to the children. 

“We had two playgrounds the children could not use because there was no cushion fall bark. It was $13,000 to replace it.”

The Craft Provinces of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire with the Mark Province of Staffordshire and Shropshire have, over that period, between them donated £1.1 million. This includes donations from individual Lodges, Provinces, other orders in the counties and from the Masonic Charitable Foundation (formerly the Freemasons Grand Charity).

Seahouses and District Cancer Relief Fund has just received a cheque for the magnificent sum of £5,000 from the Freemasons of Northumberland, celebrating the tercentenary of the United Grand Lodge of England.

It was the thoughtfulness of the Farne Lodge in Seahouses that made it possible as it nominated this local charity to receive the gift.

New Zealand Freemasons donate $50,000 to the New Zealand Rugby Foundation

The Freemasons Foundation has donated $50,000 to the New Zealand Rugby Foundation which partners with New Zealand’s seriously injured rugby players.

The donation was announced at a charity evening hosted by the Freemasons Foundation at the North Shore Masonic Centre in Albany, on the night of the second test between the All Blacks and British and Irish Lions rugby team.

Jonathan Spence and the Provincial Grand Master for Derbyshire, RW Bro. Steven Varley, together with civic leaders, charity workers and senior Freemasons from across the county
