We are keen to keep in touch with as many of our members as possible and celebrating a historic event using our Lodge building shows people that we are still here at the ‘centre of the known universe’!
he Sturt-Buninyong lodge of Freemasons Victoria donated 90 woolen blankets, valued at more than $4400, to Uniting Ballarat on Friday.
Lodge secretary Ron Fleming said the donation, which resulted from funds raised through the lodge’s annual fruit sale, came at a critical time.
Lincolnshire Freemasons’ Golf Association has given a cheque for £220 to Sleaford Golf Club Junior Section to assist in the development of budding players.
“For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival reduce by up to 10 per cent.”
Lodge secretary Robin Murray said: “We are committed to raising funds to help local charities and organisations provide a service for those in our community. What better way to help than to look at our young people and help them with equipment and activities at their schools.”
Sheffield Touch of Colour Stroke Group is a Stroke Association voluntary group. The group meets each month to explore different artistic techniques, and help members overcome the devastating effects of stroke. Originally an art course run by the Stroke Association, the art group became Sheffield Touch of Colour in April 2018, run by the charity’s volunteers in the area.
