The Dean of Ripon the Very Reverend John Dobson, who will preach the Sermon, will lead the Service, being held on Sunday 24 September at 3.30 pm. The Cathedral Choir will contribute to the service and sing Sir Hubert Parry’s great Coronation anthem ‘I was Glad’, also a setting of the Te Deum by Ronald Perrin a former Organist and Master of Choristers at the Cathedral.

Yorkshire Freemasons Cycle from London to Leeds in One Day Freemasons Hall Start

On Sunday 2 July 2017, a group of intrepid West Yorkshire Freemasons successfully cycled over 200 miles from Freemasons Hall in London to Castle Grove Masonic Hall in Leeds, in an impressive 15 hours. The L2L Cycle, which featured 11 Freemasons from a number of Lodges across West Yorkshire, raised over £6000 for both the West Riding Masonic Charities Fund and local support centre, Breast Cancer Haven Yorkshire.

South Wales Freemasons raise Over £4,000 with Teddy Bears Picnic

South Wales Freemasons recently held a Teddy Bear Picnic at St Lythans, near Wenvoe, to celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry and to raise funds for the Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Appeal.

The Teddies for Loving Care scheme has provided over 2 million teddies to children in A&E departments in hospitals across England & Wales. Supplied by Freemasons, the teddies are used to comfort children visiting hospitals and are used as a distraction or helpful show-and-tell.

On Wednesday 26th July Cheshire Freemasons were invited to the opening of a fully refurbished bathroom and Wet room at Claire House Children’s Hospice at Clatterbridge on the Wirral. The Red Ribbon was cut by Colin Ross the Provincial Grand Charity Steward who was accompanied by Assistant Provincial Grand Masters for Areas 1 and 2

Wearing the Tercentenary Jewel

The Jewel can be worn by any member of UGLE who is a member between the 24 June 2016 and 31 December 2017. It can only be worn by Master Masons and above. Anyone initiated between those dates can purchase the Tercentenary Jewel but will not be eligible to wear it until they have been raised. The Jewel can be worn by Master Masons, Masters and Past Masters and Grand Officers.
