This is a charity which the Warwickshire Masonic Charitable Association is pleased to support, and we have an open invitation to attend. Having attended last year, it is amazing to see so many dogs together in one place – there are numerous demonstrations, including the West Midlands Police Dog Unit, a Fun Dog Show, and demonstration involving disability assistance by the charity itself

The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at St James Church Cobham Road Accrington, where they have free use of the meeting room at the rear of the church. The theme for this meeting was the Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations, where all the guests received a replica of the meal presented to guests at the party held on the Mall in London.

Ezra, who is a member of Hand and Heart Lodge, No. 4109, started The Forget Me Not Trust two years ago with his brother Nathan because, ‘We were seeing homeless people everywhere we went in these major cities. We realised this was an epidemic problem, so we thought we should try to do something about it. We’ve been blessed in our own way with business, so we’re in a fortunate position and wanted to give something back.’

£10,000 for Midlands Air AmbulanceThe Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is dear to the hearts of many Freemasons in the Province, providing a service which is especially important in a thinly populated rural area such as ours. The PGM, RW Bro Rev’d David Bowen, and his Deputy, VW Bro Michael Roff, presented a further £10,000 to the MAAC at Strensham Airbase on 30 April 2016. £6,000 of this was raised by Herefordshire Freemasons and provided through the Herefordshire Masonic Charity Association. The other £4,000 came from the Grand Charity as part of its programme of support for local causes throughout England and Wales, and which is distributed through the Provinces.
