At his Installation on October 19th 2015 WBro John Young PPGReg, WM explained that during his year as Master he wanted raise funds for Derby Mountain Rescue Team and Guide Dogs (Derby) being involved with both charities as John and his wife Janet were both Puppy Walkers for Guide Dogs for five years and John is a member of the Derby Mountain Rescue Team’s Supporters Group and their youngest son, Mark is a Section Leader within the Team

Swinton Charitable Trust makes grants to organisations, other charities or voluntary bodies and general charitable purposes. The trust reported their annual donations to non-Masonic charities for 2016 and the total sum donated was a magnificent £15,560.39.

No fewer than 37 charities received grants totalling more than £25,000 from Shropshire’s Freemasons at a special awards day on Monday, 20th June. Representatives from most of the charities were on hand to receive grants at a special reception and buffet lunch.

A great night of ten-pin bowling and more was organised by The Iron Bridge lodge 9897 on 19th June and attended by many members as well as friends from other lodges. Prizes were awarded for highest individual score, lowest individual score (Andy’s not telling), and best lodge score (Round Table.lodge 9104). New Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center Now Open

Minnesota Masonic Charities has opened its brand spankin’ new $22 million heritage center in Bloomington on the grounds of the Minnesota Masonic Home. The facility has a 443-seat auditorium, a lodge room, museum, library, conference space and a dining facility with a full catering kitchen.
