IT’S his second time in the hot seat, but Cecil Hamley is not taking lightly his induction as Worshipful Master of the Freemasons’ Nambour Lodge.

“It’s still an experience, a new one,” he told the Daily before the Grand Master for the United Grand Lodge of Queensland, Alan Townson, placed him on the chair of King Solomon at Nambour Masonic Centre yesterday.

Freemasons St Martins golf day raises £200 for Midlands Air Ambulance

The annual golf day of St Martins Lodge, Birmingham was held at Shirley Golf Club. 20 members of the lodge played on the day and the Lodge Trophy was won by the current Master of the Lodge, Malcolm Francis. The competition for the Lodge Trophy has been played every year since 1948. W Bro Michael Gregory, the Lodge Treasurer won the Chapter Trophy.

Having now had a look into the background and history of the Funeral Service, I thought that it might be of interest to you all, to have some details on this important aspect of Irish tradition from our earliest days.

The Mark Master Masons of North and East Yorkshire, which operates 47 lodges in the area, voted to support the first aid charity following nominations from charity stewards who propose a number of good causes and local charities to back each year.

A sporting clay pigeon shoot in aid of Wales Air Ambulance at Haimwood Shooting Ground on 16th July raised £1910

WM of 1084 lodge of MMM, Howard Morgan, presented a cheque for this amount to a representative of Wales Air Ambulance, at their HQ at Welshpool airport, on Monday 25th July.
