Zion Chapter No: 537 – Cheque Presentation

On Monday the 4th of July members of Zion Chapter attended a committee meeting of the Wirral Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The First Principal, Russell Dodd, was delighted to present a cheque for £1000.00 on behalf of the Chapter and the Cheshire Freemasons’ Charity. He explained that Freemasonry was pleased to be a substantial donor to national and local charities.

In response Debbie Williams expressed the thanks of the Association. There is a continuing need for funds on the Wirral, particularly in sourcing equipment such as home stairlifts, specialist wheelchairs and the adaptation of homes for those newly diagnosed with MND. The donation of £1000.00 will help to provide a stairlift for a member who has recently received a diagnosis of the illness. Equipment provision is an important element of the work of the Committee and complements the advice and social support which they are able to provide from their collective knowledge of the disease to patients, families and carers.
