Promoting the Fraternity across the World
The Province was founded as Lancashire Western Division in 1826, becoming the Province of West Lancashire in 1960. It covers that part of the ancient county of Lancashire west of the Great North Road (A6) but including Preston and Lancaster. It extends from the Lake District to the Mersey and from Liverpool into the suburbs of Manchester. Its lodges now meet in five counties – Lancashire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.

It was a case of ‘slap on’ the sun screen, ‘dig out’ your shorts and blow the dust off your ‘shades’ at the Lancaster Group qualifying round of this year’s West Lancashire Masonic Charity Bowling Tournament. The sun shone unceasingly throughout the afternoon as temperatures rose to the dizzy heights of 25C (that’s 77F in old money.)
The annual event of the Warrington Group Masonic Golf Society was again held at Haydock Park Golf Club.
