The annual Provincial expedition was a river cruise and, as well as providing a great evening’s entertainment for the intrepid mariners, raised a fantastic sum for the 2018 Grand Charity Festival.
Annual Provincial experience proves popular “It was a train last year. A boat this year. I bet we’ll be on a plane next year!” Perhaps the brother was not altogether serious, but hey, who knows? 115 passengers boarded the MV Conway Castle at Upton-upon-Severn for an evening cruise on the river. A ‘superior’ hot buffet, ample refreshment and exciting entertainment was the Captain’s order of the day.
Treasure chest! An intriguingly complicated competition to unlock the pirate chest was won by Geoff Browning who discovered the combination and. . . . removed £115 in booty. Overall, the event raised a fantastic £6,620 for the 2018 Grand Charity Festival.
