On the 15th July, Oxford University Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners, No 55. are having a charity dinner at Boodle’s, which will benefit the Alzheimer’s Society.
Dinner will be white-tie, and guests are very much welcome. A few of you might have been able to make a Christmas charity dinner here in 2014 (under the auspices of Royal Somerset House and Inverness Chapter No 4), which was an extremely delightful evening, featuring the charity auction of a dress by Michaela Frankova, art by Ines Ka, and shoes by Sarah Watkinson-Yull – the Club kindly let us stay until quite late, too.
It looks as though – barring improving suggestions – we will be having Wild Mushrooms with Truffle Oil Soup, followed by Beef Wellington, and Reblochon and Truffle Soufflé. Sherry before, port after, wines to be chosen by our Wine Steward Dave Blagbrough.
