WBro John Paul Thompson PAGStB and the current Festival Director of Durhams 2021 Festival, is to be appointed and invested as Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham on 30th November 2017.
This followers the retirement of David Sanders Hay after six and half years of exceptional service as Durhams West Area APGM.
John was part of the 28 Durham Freemasons who ran in the 2017 Great North Run. Many of the Freemasons had just taken up running for the occasion and had worked for months preparing for the big day.
In all, the group raised over £39,000 towards the 2021 Festival in Aid of the Masonic Charitable Foundation
