Freemasons Swinton Charitable Trust donate £15,560.39 to Non Masonic Charities

The trustees of Swinton Masonic Hall formed a charity on 28 September 1993 under the name of Swinton Charitable Trust. The range of their area of benefit is not defined and it provides aid in various towns and cities in Bolton, Salford City, Wigan, Manchester City, Bury, Trafford, Stockport, Tameside, Oldham and Rochdale.

Swinton Charitable Trust makes grants to organisations, other charities or voluntary bodies and general charitable purposes. The trust reported their annual donations to non-Masonic charities for 2016 and the total sum donated was a magnificent £15,560.39.

Amongst the latest recipients were: The Christie £1,851, St Ann’s Hospice £954, Bolton Hospice £300, North West Air Ambulance £300, Calibre Audio Books £300, Rainbow House £300, Barnabus £300, Guide Dogs £500, The Salvation Army £500, Henshaw’s £300, St James Boys Brigade £300, Broughton House £300, Macmillan Nursing £954, Wood Street Mission £300, Basis £300, Parkinson’s £300, PDSA £300, British Stammering £300, Mencap (Swinton) £500, Men Matter £954, Cancer Research £954, Ecclesholme £954, Eric Berne Archive Fund £954, Genesis Breast Cancer £954, Prostrate Cancer £954, Rheumatoid Arthritis £300 and Outreach £300.
