Freemasons support Asthma UK with £230 Donation

Peter Coates, master of Peace Lodge No 2269 said that the members of the lodge are pleased to support Asthma UK with some of the monies raised at the lodge’s Ladies’ Evening and Olde English night.

In thanking the lodge for their kind donation Rod Greenhalgh from Asthma UK said that every 10 seconds someone in the UK has a potentially life-threatening asthma attack and three people die every day. Tragically two thirds of these deaths could be prevented, whilst others still suffer with asthma so severe that current treatments don’t work. Rod said that that was why Asthma UK exists. It aims to stop asthma attacks and ultimately cure asthma by funding world leading research and scientists, campaigning for change and supporting people with asthma to reduce their risk of potentially life threatening attacks.
