Freemasons support a future Para-Olympian

Cheque presentation to Local Sportswoman

Cheque presentation to Local Sportswoman

On Monday 2nd October, W.Bro Ron Cameron, PPGSwdB, presented cheques for £450.00 from the Brampton Masonic Lodges, Craft, Mark, Chapter and Athelstan to Ms Samantha Wilson from Aspatria. Sam is aged 18 and has Cerebral Palsy and has had many operations to alleviate the condition. She  is a wheelchair user and despite this she is a National basketball player and is hoping to qualify for the Para-Olympics in the future. She requires a new wheelchair which costs over £4,000.00. She was fundraising when she came to the attention of Ron who coordinated the Brampton Lodges donation together with a donation of £250 from the Mark PGL Benevolent Fund, giving a total of £700. A great example of Masonic Lodges coming to the aid of local charities.”
