Freemasons raise £700 in Pre-Valentine’s Ball for Homeless Charity in Leeds

Saturday 8th February saw Worshipful Master of Lodge of Dawn 6511 Robert Phillips and his wife host a wonderful Pre-Valentines Ball at The Left Bank in Headingley, Leeds, romantically decorated by Balloonatix of Leeds.

111 guests, including 7 Lodge widows mingled at the bar before sitting down to play a charity game of ‘Stand Up Sit Down’ Bingo. £700 was raised for St George’s Crypt  which is  a Charity based in the City of Leeds, working with the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering from addiction in Leeds.

A fantastic buffet supplied by SukhoThai followed, and before sweet was served, auction star of the TV, W Bro. Gary Don took to the pulpit to host a valentine’s game of Mr & Mrs, with many of the guests showing what little they knew about their partners! The four most knowledgeable couples took to the stage for the grand finale and guests for the evening, Will & Leyla Moore walked off with the Champagne prize.

The night was rounded off with guests dancing the night away to a live band, who also donated an additional £60 to the charity collection.
