As a patient going through the treatment process, when Richard Norman picked up a leaflet about our appeal for the new emergency assessment bay he felt that he knew just what kind of a big difference the new facility would make to people.  Thanks to Richard wishing to fundraise, enlisting the support of his Lodge as well as Provincial Grand Charity Steward Gerry Crawford, we have received a very generous donation of £7,550!!

This wonderful donation was made up of contributions from Lodge of Fidelity, Lactodorum Lodge, Towcestrian Lodge, Spelhoe Lodge, Grey Friars Lodge and Chapter of Fidelity.  There were also several personal donations from Masons and their families.

We are truly grateful to everyone involved in raising this money in aid of the emergency assessment bay.  Richard and Gerry came in with several other local Freemasons to present their donation to Talbot Butler Ward Sister, Emma Cuthbert.

Emma thanked all the members for their generosity and took time to explain to them how the facility operates.  “Without having to go through A&E, it ensures a real continuity of care for our patientsthey are able to be assessed and looked after more efficiently.”

The continued support from local Freemasons for the hospital means a great deal to us.  To have received this substantial donation towards our target when we are so close to achieving it is a real dream.  It has made such a huge difference at this final stage of the appeal, thank you all so much!
