Freemasons donate £150000 to Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme

Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme was one of the successful nominated charities to be awarded a share of the Community Award Grants given by the Masonic Charitable Foundation. The grant awarded was for a magnificent £15,000 of the £300,000 being donated

Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme aims to prevent homelessness among 16 – 25 years olds by providing supported housing consisting of furnished accommodation and tailored packages of support which include emotional and practical help with all areas of independent living. They list their aims as:

To empower young people to live independently in their community
To prevent repeat homelessness and sustain tenancies
To respond to emerging needs of young people
To enable young people to improve their social and economic welfare.
