Freemasons from the Graystone Lodge No 1915 in Whitstable recently donated £1,000 from their charitable funds to the Strode Park Foundation.

The Strode Park Foundation is a charity that provides high quality services to meet the needs of people with disabilities. It aims to meet all levels of need, from those requiring some home care, to people with more complex disabilities. For more information please visit: www.strodepark.org.uk

On the 29th June 2017, three representatives of the Graystone Lodge visited the charity’s premises in Herne to present the donation. The foundation is currently seeking to raise £24,000 for a children’s sensory and soft play room. The donation from Graystone Lodge will be put towards that appeal.

The photo shows, from left to right, Tracy Lovatt (from the charity’s fund-raising department), Peter Jones (Master of Graystone Lodge) and Tim Cheshire (Finance Director). Also present were Ted Rooney (Lodge Secretary) and John Day (Lodge Charity Steward). The photo was taken by Christine Jones, the charity’s chief fund-raiser.

This was the latest of many donations given to the foundation over the years by local Freemasons’ lodges.
