At the Haven Hospice in Runcorn on 16th June 2015 EComp Ken Mallon, APGP presented a Match Funding cheque for £10,000 be used to provide a Lynas Foster Double Bed for one of four larger rooms. It had been the case, that in the past, long Married couples could not be accommodated without splitting them up and putting them in different rooms or even other Homes / Hospices. Ken said “we are pleased that the money raised by Freemasons Lodges and Chapters is used in such a wonderful way, enabling couples who may have been together for 40, 50 or more years to stay together in their end of life care”

Colin Ross the Provincial Grand Charity Steward on his annual visit to the Hospice on Monday 17th October 2016, took the opportunity to photograph the Lynas Foster Double Bed , in part funded by the £10,000 cheque presented on behalf of the Cheshire Freemasons’ Charity last year by Ken Mallon
Colin also presented Shaun Pollard CEO of the Halton Haven Hospice a further donation from the Cheshire Freemasons’ Charity of £1,000
