Five Lincolnshire hospices receive donations from Freemasons

Five Lincolnshire hospices have shared in donations worth almost £5,000 in the latest round of Masonic funding for the hospice movement nationally.

This year that support has been worth £600,000, and takes the total Masonic contribution to hospices to more than £13m since 1984.

The Lincolnshire hospices are:

Lindsey Lodge,
Scunthorpe
£890
St Andrew’s
Children’s, Grimsby
£1,173
St Andrew’s,
Grimsby
£988
St Barnabas,
Lincoln
£1,633
The
Butterfly, Boston
£294

Lincolnshire’s most senior Freemason, Provincial Grand Master David Wheeler, said: “The work of hospices and their staff is invaluable. There can be few, if any, people who are not personally aware of it because of support given to family, friends, or
work colleagues. That’s why our organisation continues to offer financial support to sustain such important work into the future.”

The hospice donations are provided by the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which administers funds collected from Freemasons across the country.
