Engineers Lodge 9493 responded to an appeal by the day centre following a flood to assist them with the replacement of damaged furnishings and fittings. The centre provides day care for up to one hundred and forty people on a daily basis. People suffering with dementia, various life debilitating illnesses, loneliness and the elderly from all over the Amber Valley region are able to attend.
Transport is provided if required to and from the centre. Activities are arranged from 9.30 until 3pm as well as a three course lunch.
The Lodge donated £250.00 which was generously and fully match funded by the Provincial Grand Charity.
