Thursday 23rd August 2018 saw the culmination of the inaugural, and very successful East Lakes Group 5 mile challenge, when the W. M. of Derwentwater Lodge, W. Bro. Arthur Turner had the great pleasure of presenting a cheque for £749 to the Cumbria Jigsaw Children’s Hospice Charity. This very worthy charity was selected by Derwentwater Lodge to receive the proceeds of the event. The idea came from Bro. Joseph Jackson, and it’s now hoped that it’ll become an annual charity fund raising event for the Group. Members of the Derwentwater Lodge “walking” team were in attendance, as was the Group Chairman, W. Bro. Glyn Titterington.
