Members of the Worshipful Company of Masons and the Livery Company of Masons Trust, with Museum Trustees Roger O’Brien & Tony Eldridge
A group from the Worshipful Company of Masons headed by their Master – Nick Payne TD – recently visited the Kent Museum of Freemasonry while spending a day in Canterbury. They were given a tour of the museum and the one hundred year-old lodge room next door before they went on to the Cathedral.
The Worshipful Company of Masons is one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London that is active in its support of vocational training for the stone industry and general education in deprived areas in the UK. In common with Freemasons, the Company has supported Canterbury Cathedral Apprentice Stonemasons with bursaries.
Commenting afterwards, their Master said: ‘The visit was an important step in building bridges between our two organisations’
